Liquid Vibratory Finishing Compounds
Environmentally friendly formulations engineered to suspend swarf, inhibit rust, and achieve brilliant burnished colors. Manufactured in the USA and available in 5-gallon pails and 55-gallon drums.
The Bottom Line
Compounds are required for wet finishing to lubricate media and keep parts clean.
General purpose cleaners (pH ~8.0) are ideal for most deburring operations.
Burnishing compounds achieve bright, mirror-like finishes on specific metals.
Why Compounds Matter
Swarf Suspension
Without compound, metal fines (swarf) and broken media will pack into part recesses and glaze your media, destroying its cutting ability.
Corrosion Protection
Our rust inhibitors prevent flash rusting on ferrous metals immediately after the wet finishing cycle is complete.
Surface Color & Burnish
Specialized acidic or neutral compounds chemically assist the media in rolling the metal surface to a brilliant shine.
Our Proprietary Compound Formulations
44Q (General Purpose Cleaner)
The industry standard cleaner with excellent rust-inhibiting qualities. Works on most metals with any media to suspend dirt and keep media free-cutting.
UMA30 (Burnishing Compound)
A concentrated, pH-neutral burnishing compound. Formulated to achieve a bright color on all metals. Best used with polishing media.
LR600S (Rust Inhibitor & Cleaner)
A dual-action inhibitor and cleaner ideal for powdered metal, cast iron, and ferrous metals. Can be used in the machine or as a post-process dip/spray.
LR600 (Pure Rust Inhibitor)
A dedicated rust inhibitor excellent for dipping or spraying ferrous metal parts after finishing to extend shelf life.
UMA40 (Ferrous Burnishing Compound)
A concentrated cleaner and burnisher specifically designed for ferrous metals being processed with ceramic or plastic media.
24Q (Acidic Burnishing Compound)
A specialized acidic compound excellent for steel media applications. Produces brilliant color on most metals (Warning: Do not use on zinc).
